We held our second NEGS Twilight Concert for the year last Tuesday evening in the Jan Milburn room. It was another wonderful night of entertainment showcasing our lovely violinists and cellists from Junior School performing individual solos accompanied by Miss Liz and performing together as Samaurez strings. The group is going from strength to strength under the expert leadership of Laura Curotta. A funky drum solo, piano playing and fabulous flute playing by our talented Junior school students kept the audience enthralled. From our Senior School we had gorgeous singing, wonderful trombone playing, a flute trio and some wonderful guitar duets accompanied by Miss Fletcher.
It was lovely to see the concert so well supported by family and friends, we even had a very well behaved daschund puppy who thoroughly enjoyed the concert as well.
We have had more groups performing at the Eisteddfod, our NEGS band played beautifully at the Eisteddfod in their section. Samaurez Strings took out second place in their section playing some great pieces.
The Year 9/10 music class have been busy arranging their item in class and they will be performing at the Eisteddfod this week. Finally we will have all of our Junior School classes performing their class items at the Eisteddfod this Wednesday, 6th June.
