In Week 6, Year 3 and 4 travelled together with Year 7 to Lake Keepit for a three day camp. The students participated in many activities acquiring a new skill set. These covered a range of areas including the collaborative nature of canoeing and embracing the free fall of the giant swing.
While camp provides an opportunity for students to work together as a team, support each other and step outside of their comfort zone, it also allows for students to gain independence, build a stronger rapport with their teacher and strengthen key character traits such as persistence and resilience.
The way in which the students embraced these new opportunities was amazing, completing some activities that most adults would only dream of being able to face. Well done and congratulations on a very enjoyable camp.
