2017 Coast Trip

Dear Parents / Guardians,
In continuing the tradition, and welcoming current and young women of NEGS, the 2017 Coast Trip will be occurring on Friday 3rd February – Sunday 5th February (at the end of Week 1, Term 1). This trip is compulsory for boarders as it is seen as an integral component of creating collegiality and bonds at the beginning of the year. It is highly desirable that all day girls attend as well as the positive relationships between day girls and boarders is the essence of what makes NEGS special.
The two day excursion has been moved to a closer location to Yamba. The group will be participating in a number of activities including coastal walks, ten pin bowling, rock wall climbing, barefoot bowls, swimming and shopping.
The time away will provide ample opportunity for the girls to get to know one another better and support each other as they return from their Summer break.
This weekend is a ‘closed weekend’ as all boarding staff and students will be in attendance at the coast.
Summary of Details:
WHEN: Friday 3rd February 2017 – Sunday 5th February, 2017.
Depart from the NEGS turning circle at 1.30pm on Friday.
Return to the NEGS turning circle at approximately 5:00pm on Sunday.

METHOD OF TRANSPORT: Bus
WHAT TO BRING: A detailed list is attached
COST: Approximately $260 (includes accommodation, transport, all meals, activities. Payment to be made by one of the following options by Friday 2nd December 2016:
1. Cheque made out to NEGS.
2. Direct deposit to the NEGS Account (please comment to say 2017 Coast Trip and daughter’s surname)

Permission notes can be returned to the coordinating staff member by hard copy, fax or email.
