NEWS FROM MUSIC
K-2 choir have been working so well together learning ‘Jig Jog Pony’ and ‘In The Summertime’, just to name a couple of their songs. They are working on learning all of their words to the Teddy Bears’ Picnic because once every child knows these words we are going to bring our Teddy Bears to choir and have a Teddy Bears’ Picnic. It is very exciting to work towards this, we can hardly wait.
Our Vocal Ensemble and 3-6 choir will be performing at the Armidale Eisteddfod this week and should feel very proud of the work they have put in to get ready for their performance. It has been lovely to see their progress and listen to their lovely singing.
In music classes students from 3-6 have been learning how to play the ‘Wacky Instruments’. They will be performing with these instruments at the ‘Night Of Music’ on Wednesday, 21st June beginning at 6pm. Make sure you put this date on your calendar as this will be a marvellous night of music showcasing our Eisteddfod groups and music stars throughout Junior and Senior school.
All of our classes from K-6 will be performing at the Eisteddfod on Wednesday, June 7th in their classroom ensembles, another exciting musical day to put on your calendar.
We are very excited about the musical ‘Snow White’ that we are putting on in Term 3. Auditions for main parts will take place in Week 6 on Thursday afternoon after school. The main parts will be selected from students in Years 4-6 and smaller parts will be given out to our students from K-3.
The students will have a wonderful time learning their parts for the musical and all the wonderful songs that accompany it.
