Program Outline

The NEGS Netball Program is designed to develop female netball students 12 to 18 years of age in a school environment. The program is specifically designed to comply with the Netball NSW philosophies. The NEGS Netball Program is not a participation program and is aimed at producing top-level athletes. The program will run for the 4 school terms each year.

Players will participate in 1 – 2 weekly small group training sessions utilising flexible academic timetables. The sessions will be delivered by NEGS Netball Coordinator, Kristen Cohen, and students will be required to participate in weekly strength and conditioning sessions. Established programs with nutritionists and sports psychologists will also assist NEGS Netball participants throughout the program.

Athletes within the NEGS Netball Program will also receive Individual Player Plans (IPP) to identify areas for improvement during the program, and will benefit from regular coaching clinic with Australian Diamonds player and NEGS Netball Ambassador, Susan Pettitt.
