Scholarships and Bursaries

NEGS offers a number of scholarships and bursaries each year to students from Year 5 to Year 12.

Scholarships are funded by generous donations to the School, and awarded based on merit.  Bursaries are funded by the School, and are provided to families with a demonstrated financial need, particularly during times of drought and other natural disasters.

  • Excellence in Sports Scholarships (Years 7 to 11)
  • Forster Music Scholarship (Instrument Hire – Current Students Only)
  • Jean Newall All-Rounder Scholarships (Years 7 to 11)
  • Aneeta Sundararaj Academic Scholarship (Years 5 and 6 only)

2023 Scholarships 

Applications for NEGS 2022 and 2023 Scholarships are now open.

Our annual Scholarship Testing Day will be held 4 March 2022.  On this date, examinations will be held for 2023 Academic Scholarships.

Applications for all other Scholarships can be forwarded via email by 30 March.  Please contact our Enrolments Office for application forms and for more information.

All candidates for all scholarships are required to:

  1. Complete and submit the relevant scholarship application form;
  2. Complete and submit an Application for Enrolment form (unless this has been completed previously) and provide all documentation referred to in that form;
  3. Attend an interview with the Principal.
