Sport plays a vital role in the life of a NEGS student, promoting physical health, wellbeing, and personal growth. Our supportive environment nurtures athletes of all levels and interests.
Our sporting program at NEGS Armidale Senior School provides a range of opportunities for students to engage in physical activities, fostering sportsmanship, commitment, and discipline.

In our junior school, we start every day with 15-minute fitness sessions. These sessions include circuit workouts, dance, and skipping, setting a dynamic tone for the day. As part of our curriculum, students engage in weekly sports activities, with rotating sports each term to cater to their interests.
NEGS ADP is a space where we can offer a great opportunity for athletes to set and achieve goals, develop physically and mentally and create a strong emphasis on striving for excellence in their particular sporting field.
Starting with foundational skill-building in our Junior School, the program continues through Senior School with tailored coaching, fitness, nutrition and mindset training.
By Years 9 and 10, selected students engage in five dedicated periods per cycle as part of their timetable. The program culminates in Years 11 and 12 with a strong focus on leadership and performance, helping students pursue excellence in their chosen sporting fields.
This holistic program fosters intrinsic motivation, physical preparedness, and personal growth—empowering young women to excel both on and off the field.
