Work With Us
For 130 years, NEGS has woven a rich tapestry of educational prospects in a traditional, rural, Christian environment, enjoying an exceptional reputation in academic scholarship; extensive co-curricular offerings; comprehensive music, arts and dance programs; caring and nurturing Boarding connections; excellent student Wellbeing programs; and outstanding opportunities provided through a world-class Equestrian Centre, Regional Sporting Complex, Livestock Precinct and 50 hectares of open, green space. The School is co-educational Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6, girls-only Years 7 to 12 and girls Boarding Years 5 to 12.
The School’s size privileges its teachers, boarding and support staff to know, value and care for each girl and young boy, partnering with them to ensure their learning pathway is rigorous and personalised, yet broad and balanced, and enhanced by healthy and respectful relationships within a culture of care.
At NEGS, we seek employees who will continue supporting our school as one of Australia’s best regional Day and Boarding Schools.

Full-Time, Permanent | NEGS – Armidale, NSW
The Opportunity in One Line
Lead enrolment growth at a 130-year-old independent girls’ school that’s grown significantly over three years — and is now investing in the leadership to accelerate what comes next.
Why This Role Matters
NEGS has momentum. Enrolments are up. The strategy is clear. What’s needed now is a commercially astute growth leader who can turn that momentum into sustained competitive advantage.
This isn’t a marketing support role. It’s a senior strategic position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with direct ownership of the enrolment pipeline, conversion outcomes, and revenue growth targets.
You’ll work alongside the Principal and Executive team to shape not just admissions strategy, but the school’s future positioning in a competitive market.
What You’ll Own
Pipeline & Conversion
- Drive enquiry-to-enrolment conversion through structured sales methodology and relationship-led engagement
- Manage the full enrolment lifecycle from first contact to confirmed placement
- Own CRM strategy, data integrity, and pipeline analytics
Market Strategy
- Represent NEGS at expos, events, and targeted growth markets (domestic, regional, international)
- Design and deliver Principal Tour programs and key stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Identify and pursue untapped market opportunities, particularly in boarding
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with COO, Principal and Executive on growth, brand, and strategic alignment
- Set targets, track metrics, and report on conversion performance
- Lead enrolment forecasting and capacity planning

Essential:

- Experience in education, premium services, or consultative sales environments
- Demonstrated success managing complex pipelines using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Ability to work with targets, metrics, and conversion analytics while maintaining a values-driven approach
- Polished communication skills — you represent the school to families making $100k+ educational decisions
- Willingness to travel regularly (overnight stays required for expos and market visits)
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in the Australian independent school sector
- Boarding school enrolment or student recruitment background
- Understanding of international student pathways and regional markets
Non-negotiables:
- Strategic thinker who executes with discipline
- Relationship builder with commercial instincts
- Self-starter who thrives on accountability and performance metrics
