Positions Available
SENIOR EQUESTRIAN COACH
As Senior Equestrian Coach, you will be at the forefront of our coaching program, shaping the training journey of riders from beginner to competition level. You’ll play a key role in lesson planning, staff mentorship, and competition preparation, ensuring a safe, positive, and progressive environment for riders and horses alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver structured lesson plans tailored to rider goals and competition schedules.
- Coach riders across all levels, promoting skill development and equine welfare.
- Mentor and support junior coaching staff to uphold coaching standards.
- Plan and manage student participation in local and national competitions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the Equestrian Centre Manager on program development and horse allocation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Accredited equestrian coaching certification (e.g.,EA).
- Proven coaching experience across multiple disciplines.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- A commitment to rider progression, horse welfare, and safety.
Employment Type: Part-time during term time, with the potential for a full-time role for the right candidate; permanent position

STABLE HAND
NEGS is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Stable Hand to join our Equestrian Centre team during school term times only. This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone passionate about horse care, who enjoys being part of a supportive, student-focused environment.
As a Stable Hand, you’ll help maintain the health and wellbeing of our horses, support the day-to-day operations of the Centre, and play an important part in the student experience by supervising activities and ensuring a safe and positive environment. This role is ideal for someone who loves horses, thrives in a dynamic setting, and values making a meaningful contribution to a young person’s education — both in and out of the arena.
About You
· Genuine passion for horse care and handling
· Confident supervising and supporting students around horses
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow procedures
· Professional, courteous, and adaptable communication style
· Physically capable of completing all stable duties
Essential Requirements
· Current First Aid Certificate
· NSW Working with Children Check
· Current driver’s licence
· Availability to work weekends as needed during school terms
· Support for the Christian ethos and values of NEGS

Winter Coaches: Hockey, Netball, or Rugby
Are you passionate about sports and eager to inspire the next generation of athletes? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated casual coaches for netball, hockey, and rugby to join our team in the Armidale area. Whether you’re an experienced coach or someone looking to make a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate training sessions for netball, hockey, or rugby teams.
- Develop player skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor players’ development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Attend training sessions and games as scheduled, providing guidance and leadership.
- Work collaboratively with other coaches and team managers to ensure smooth operations.
About You:
- Previous coaching experience in netball, hockey, or rugby is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with players of all ages and skill levels. A passion for promoting physical activity and teamwork.
- Availability to coach during evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant sport-specific qualifications (or a commitment to obtaining them) are advantageous.

Marketing and Development Officer
About the Role
As the Marketing and Development Officer, you will:
- Create and manage engaging content across digital and print channels.
- Support internal and external communications aligned with our brand.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate school publications, media releases, newsletters and events.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive enrolments and alumni relations.
This is a hands-on role with a broad scope—perfect for a motivated professional who enjoys
variety, creativity, and the opportunity to build strong community connections.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or 5 years relevant work experience
in lieu of. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Copywriting, content creation, and editing expertise.
- High-level attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Customer-focused mindset and professional presence.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to attend events outside normal hours.
- A current Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
Desirable:
- Experience in an educational or not-for-profit environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, CRM systems.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
