Positions Available

Senior coach (equestrian)

The NEGS Equestrian Centre is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Senior Equestrian Coach working with students ranging from Novice level to experienced competitive riders aged 12 to 18, as well as some adults.

The Senior Coach provides vital leadership of the Junior coaching team through the provision of mentoring, professional development and modelling of quality coaching. Quality training and mentoring for NEGS students and the New England equestrian community is key to the success of this role.

The remuneration package can include accommodation and a stable/paddock for an agreed number of horses.

Professional development through external coaches and clinicians as well as an opportunity to gain further training and education is offered.

Weekend House Mother

NEGS is proud to offer, a lively, diverse and nurturing environment where living at school presents opportunities for our boarding students to immerse themselves in a wide variety of on-campus, co & extracurricular activities whilst completing their studies.

Boarding staff play a vital role in the lives of the boarding students and the smooth functioning of the House. You must be reliable with exemplary values and have an avid interest in the welfare of young people. Boarding staff oversee the pastoral care (the physical, emotional, spiritual and academic well-being) offered to the girls. We ask that you maintain an active interest in their care and well-being, whilst, maintaining professional and pastoral contact with Boarders’ Parents/Caregivers. 

Boarding staff are directly responsible to the Head of Boarding, who supports all boarding staff in fulfilling their roles to the best of their ability and per school policies and procedures. Although prior experience will be an advantage, adequate training will be provided in all aspects of Pastoral Care here at NEGS. The conduct of an efficient and effective residential school is underpinned by the quality of the pastoral care system which is implemented by the boarding staff. Boarding staff are integral to the welfare of our boarding community and the efficiency of our pastoral care program. The Weekend House Mother is directly responsible to the Head of Boarding. The Head of Boarding is available to support all boarding staff in fulfilling their roles to the best of their ability and following school policies and procedures.

Business and HSIE Teacher

This position requires an enthusiastic and engaging Business & HSIE teacher who is committed to and passionate about designing student learning experiences that motivate and inspire students to realize their potential. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Stage 6 Business Studies and/or Economics teacher with a passion for exploring real-world applications of these courses.

The role requires a deep understanding of the practices and pedagogies suited to the study of, in particular, Business, and an understanding of the skills and knowledge required to succeed in Stage 6. The role also requires an interest in and willingness to teach Stage 5 Commerce and Stage 4 & 5 HSIE, particularly Geography. As a Business and HSIE teacher, you will be responsible for designing learning experiences that cater for the specific needs of all learners, using a data-driven, iterative approach.

community relations and events officer

This position requires an enthusiastic and engaging Community Relations and Events Officer who is committed and passionate about promoting NEGS. As the Community Relations and Events Officer, you will work within the Marketing and Community Relations team promoting the School brand, enhancing internal and external relations, delivering digital and online communications and building community engagement through marketing, communication and events.

You will work collaboratively with others in the team to ensure the School is a welcoming, supporting environment for students, parents, staff and visitors. The role will be involved in a variety of diverse projects across marketing, enrolments, alumni and events. You will have the opportunity to develop content and deliver digital and online communications that are appropriate and innovative to achieve School objectives aligned with the strategic intent.
