The Magic Millions NEGS Horse Trials is set to be a highly anticipated event will bring together over 200 competitors at the NEGS Equestrian facility in Armidale on November 18 and 19.
Join us for a celebration of Eventing equestrian excellence in dressage, showjumping and cross country.
This event is part of NEGS’ commitment to nurturing the talents of its students in both academics and equestrian pursuits as well as contributing toward a vibrant NEGS and wider community in Armidale.
The event will be held at NEGS’ world-class equestrian centre situated on a spacious 50-hectare property. Our equine centre is equipped with top-notch amenities. Our 2* Cross Country course provides thrilling challenges for riders, while the two undercover Olympic-sized arenas offer ideal spaces for training and competitions. The polocrosse field, outdoor cutting/campdraft arena, and outdoor dressage arena cater to a range of equestrian disciplines.
Magic Millions is Australasia’s number one thoroughbred auction house with its headquarters on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Magic Millions holds the record for the highest grossing yearling sale in the Southern Hemisphere and conducts the third biggest breeding stock auction in the world.
Uniquely combining thoroughbred sales and racing, Magic Millions is world famous for The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival, Polo, Showjumping, Sale and Raceday held in January each year set against the stunning backdrop of Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Carnival includes the world’s richest incentive based Raceday and world first female ownership incentive, the Magic Millions Racing Women’s Bonus.
Magic Millions conducts regular auctions at the Gold Coast as well as other locations in Australia including Adelaide, Launceston and Perth. The auction house is the number one sales source of black type winners in Australia – over the most recent racing season. Graduates include recent starts Alligator Blood, Militarize, Imperatriz and In Secret as well as the world’s two highest prize money horses in history, Golden Sixty and Winx. Magic Millions is the only sale source of a Golden Slipper winning colt this millennium.
NEGS is proud to announce that Magic Millions Sales, Australia’s leading source of Group 1 and Stakes winners, has taken on the naming rights of NEGS Horse Trials to be held on 18 and 19 November.
Supporting NEGS in this event ticks many of the boxes that Magic Millions value. Namely that many NEGS equestrian students ride ‘off the track’ thoroughbreds in their equestrian pursuits, showcasing the versatility of these thoroughbreds once they have finished their racing career.
NEGS is one of Australia’s premier Equestrian schools, and an all-girls Senior School, there is synergy with Magic Millions, who are known for their commitment to fostering the growth, the education of welfare standards and promotion of equestrian sports, while equally

Our Junior School caters for boys and girls from Pre-K to Year 6 and our Senior Girls’ School from Year 7 through to Year 12. NEGS boarding provides a holistic experience for girls’ from Year 5 onwards.
