Margaret moved to France after spending two years in Ireland and still lives there, painting and teaching.

Margaret has exhibited all over the world and her paintings are held in numerous Private Collections. She recently had an exhibition at NERAM-New England Regional Art Museum​ called ‘A Voyage To The Great Cities of The Middle Ages’ taking everyone on a journey to some of the great cities of Europe and historic scenes through her work.

Margaret attended NEGS from 1962 until 1969 along with her two sisters Penelope and Christine. ‘In those days everyone was a boarder and there were 9 girls in my class’, said Margaret. Over the years she has kept in contact with many classmates, and living in France means that Margaret has had almost half her class visit her, some a couple of times. ‘My exhibitions are often the excuse for re-unions amongst friends from NEGS’. 

When in France, she had met the Irish artist Micheal Farrell when he taught at a Summer School of drawing. He had spent about 15 years in France so it was an easy choice to move to the south where the sun shines. Margaret still lives in France painting and teaching. Each painting takes months to complete and in the years that she was writing books Margaret would alternate between painting and writing.
